Week 22

Hope everyone had Happy Holidays. It's been mad, crazy busy in our neck of the woods.  Holidays can do that.  Today is New Years Eve.  I would love to be getting all dolled up to go out with friends and drink sparkling apple juice.  Unfortunately, I have managed to get sick.  :(  Thankfully, I am the only one with the illness.   But it still sucks to be sick.  I want to curl up under the covers while my momma takes care of me, unfortunately I gave up that privilege when I started wearing big girl panties.  LOL

EM is enjoying the post holiday and season playing with all his new toys.  One of the great things about being over seas is that packages get here whenever they feel like it, so he's still getting Christmas gifts.  :)  We got EM the Cars movie (first one) and Shrek (the series), he loves them and I get the bonus gift of sofa hour long sofa cuddles.   And if there's popcorn, I'm getting nominated for the Best Mommy Ever award.  :)

We got a box in the mail of some of EM's old baby clothes, I can still EM in all is fluffy glory wearing these outfits.  So thankful that I'm able to reuse EM's clothes.  Nice quality baby clothes are very expensive here, and ordering EVERYTHING through the mail gets tiresome.  You miss out on the sales and rummaging through the racks at Ross and TJMAXX for those hidden treasures.

Babylove #2 is moving up a storm.  I went from nothing to lots and lots.  I started feeling movement around the end of 21 weeks.   At 11 inches (the length of a spaghetti squash) and almost 1 pound, your baby is starting to look like a miniature newborn. His lips, eyelids, and eyebrows are becoming more distinct, and he's even developing tiny tooth buds beneath his gums. His eyes have formed, but his irises (the colored part of the eye) still lack pigment. If you could see inside your womb, you'd be able to spot the fine hair (lanugo) that covers his body and the deep wrinkles on his skin, which he'll sport until he adds a padding of fat to fill them in. Inside his belly, his pancreas — essential for the production of some important hormones — is developing steadily.

Wishing everyone a safe, happy and kiss-filled New Year's!  2012 is going to be an awesome year.  I can feel it!  Claim your blessings now!  :)
